All of us fit in the puzzle of life's great picture, even when we don't feel like it.  In a conversation with a very wise person one day, the comment was made that we are not suppose to be like everyone else. We are unique and just like no puzzle has two pieces that are the same, we are also an important piece of the great picture with our size, shape, colors and designs.

Speaker 1:

Good morning and welcome to the VE hammer podcast. You know, today the message that I'd like to get across is one about uniqueness fitting in and do we fit in? And if we don't, why, and should we fit in? And I think there's a couple of elements here that are interesting to me. Uh, one of them is a survey that I red, which said that only one in five people actually feel like they fit in to the circles that they kind of wander in. And I thought that that was an interesting statistic, uh, very, very low number. The other thing is a conversation I had with somebody one in time was about fitting in and this person had some really strong wisdom and said that, you know, life is kind of like a big puzzle. Gatherings are like a big puzzle. Whether it's a family event, a church meeting your own inner circles, business settings, wherever there's a group of people, we are not expected to be the same shape, the same design as the person who's next to us, or like the other people in the room, we should acknowledge our unique design, our unique shape, our unique characteristics, and that that actually contributes to the overall design and creation of the puzzle. You know, when these puzzles are put together these big 5,000 piece puzzles, you know, at first you can't really kind of tell what the design's gonna be, unless you look at the box, but eventually as each piece is planted and none of them are the same seem to get you. You kind of get this unique mosaic that appears as you progress in this puzzle. And I think that's one of the magic pieces of putting these together. Certainly you have an instate in mind because you can see the box. But if we look at our lives in the context of being one of those pieces of a puzzle, which employee unique different than anybody else, which is a good thing yet, we can still coexist inside of organizations, whether again, it's church or inner circles or business settings, and contribute with our uniqueness to the overall group without being a clone or a member of the act, same shape and size of everybody else. I think that that's a really powerful message. I think that it adds some real spice to your style. What makes you, you? And I would like to encourage us all of us and you know, me at the forefront of this, because I don't always feel like I fit in. And I'm slowly realizing as I get older that I'm not supposed to completely fit in. This doesn't mean that I have to go off and be kind of a unique person who tries to, you know, make a statement, uh,

Speaker 2:

By excessive behaviors or excessive, uh, clothing or anything like that. What it means is my mind, my experience, my background, my thoughts, the pattern of my thinking, my behavioral patterns don't have to be like everybody else. And that's okay. And I actually contribute to that puzzle. Just like the next person who I might think is more squared away or to somebody who I might think, you know, Hey, well, that person doesn't quite fit in. We need to look at those people too and realize that they too have a very important piece to play in the story of life. I, I hope you have a beautiful day. And I hope when we look at others and ourselves, we realize that uniqueness is very, very special and powerful. Have a great day.
